1471. Peaky Blinders The Immortal Man (2026)

Director : Tom Harper

Cinematographer : George Steel

Genre : Drama

Country : UK

Duration : 115 Minutes

🔸 Peaky Blinders The Immortal Man continues the story of Tommy Shelby, but this time the focus is less on rising power and more on what remains after it. The plot follows him as he deals with political pressure, old enemies, and the long shadow of his past decisions. The story moves through familiar elements of crime networks, shifting alliances, and personal conflict, but it feels more like an extension of the series rather than a fresh or tightly structured film. It tries to bring closure while also expanding the world, which creates a slightly uneven narrative.

🔸 The performances are still strong and carry most of the film’s weight. The lead actor delivers a more tired and reflective version of the character, showing how years of power and violence have changed him. There is a sense of emotional exhaustion that adds depth, even when the writing is not always strong. Supporting characters bring moments of energy, but many of them are not given enough time to fully develop. The film keeps its signature style of dark visuals, slow-motion shots, and a powerful soundtrack, which helps maintain the atmosphere fans expect.

🔸 However, the film struggles with pacing and payoff. Important moments feel rushed, while other scenes linger without adding much. Several storylines feel incomplete or only partly explored, which weakens the emotional impact. The film builds toward something meaningful, but the final payoff does not feel as strong as it should for a story of this scale. It feels like too many ideas are being handled at once without enough focus. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is still engaging because of its performances and style, but as a conclusion, it feels underwhelming.

Verdict : Above Average

DC Rating : 3/5
