🔸The film focuses strongly on atmosphere. Nature plays a big role, forests, rivers, railroads, and fire are always present, reminding us how closely the man’s life is tied to the land. The cinematography is beautiful but simple, never flashy. Bryce Dessner’s music fits the film perfectly. The score is soft and quiet, adding emotion without taking control of the scenes. It supports the mood of loss, time passing, and the slow arrival of modern life.

Years later, he moves through frozen landscapes and distant villages, not as a proud warrior but as a man weighed down by memory. The film never rushes his journey. It allows time, silence, and environment to shape the narrative, reminding us that the most powerful samurai stories are often about what happens after loyalty fails.

🔸There is clear affection for the samurai tradition in every technical choice the film makes. The way swords are handled, the stillness before violence, and the respect given to ritual all point to a filmmaker who loves the genre deeply. Yet the film refuses to romanticise the samurai way. Honor here is complicated and costly, tied directly to suffering rather than glory. The cinematography is striking but restrained — snow-covered mountains, wide empty spaces, and carefully composed frames that reflect emotional isolation. Beauty is present, but it is never comforting. Instead, it emphasizes how small and exposed the characters are within their moral landscape.

🔸At the center of it all is Toshiro Mifune, delivering a performance built on restraint and physical presence. His samurai feels tired, deliberate, and fully aware that time is working against him. Mifune doesn’t seek sympathy; he lets his body and silence speak. Every step feels measured, every movement final. The film builds patiently toward its conclusion, and the final shot is extraordinary, simple, stark, and emotionally devastating. It doesn’t celebrate triumph or redemption. Instead, it leaves us with a quiet acceptance that feels true to the spirit of great samurai films, honest, tragic, and unforgettable.

🔸An air of loneliness looms large over the characters and settings of the movie 'The Holdover' from start to finish. The presence of this unspoken loneliness is so large that occasionally we feel it as some sort of character or even a plot point that can't be avoided at any cost. The Holdover begins as some sort of a comfort film but slowly reveals the pain underneath in a spectacular fashion. Set in a boarding school during a cold isolating Christmas break period, the movie tells the story of three characters who somehow get intertwined due to their own story and the loneliness that drives them during this festive season.

🔸None of the characters in the movie are likeable, atleast not when we meet them, but the director gives them room to exist and collide on each other. They have their imperfections, and it is due to these imperfections only that the bond which is formed between these characters feels so authentic and beautiful. Apart from loneliness, the feelings of guilt, remorse and regret are portrayed very beautifully and that's why we feel rewarded once the movie hits the final portions.The three main characters have their character arcs rewarded, let it be the strict teacher or troublemaking student or the cook who suffers from a personal loss, everyone has a story to tell, and all these stories are treated amazingly well along with the over arching narrative.

🔸The one thing the movie Holdovers have as a negative is the thing that cannot be avoided for these kind of movies and that is predictability, yes the story is predictable to its core and any person who have watched movies in any language can predict where all these things are going. But sometimes it's not the destination, but the journey itself that can be an amazing experience, which is true in all sense for this movie. In the end, The Holdovers doesn’t aim for emotional release or closure. It understands that some connections are temporary, formed not by choice but by circumstance. What lingers is not the warmth of the holidays, but the quiet relief of being seen, even briefly. The film leaves its characters where it finds them as imperfect, carrying their burdens but slightly less alone than before.

🔸A feeling of tiredness always sticks with the people and places we see in the movie 'The Old Oak', like it has seen its own fair share of sufferings and does not expect anything better, even from future. Eventhough I have thoroughly enjoyed the previous Ken Loach outings, for some reason this tiredness feels absolutely amazing in a Ken Loach setting. Even the pub, which is the central part of the story is not celebrated or romanticised as we think it will be and carried more memories than moments of its own. Ken Loach absolutely delivers with this setting and sets the table perfectly for what would be an amazing two hours of cinema.

🔸The story is set in a former mining town that has been on a decline for some time. The pub owner tries to keep the pub up and running barely as a reminder for his and towns glory days but the word 'barely' often pops up many times to announce its significance. Eventhough the community has lost its hope of a better future what keeps them together is a feel of togetherness, which itself gets questioned when a new set of immigrants set foot in their county. Slowly and steadily the hostility rises between the immigrants and natives and the story changes pace and hooks the audience on the ride.

🔸The one thing I loved more than anything is the director staying away from portraying the hostility due to ideological differences, he portrays the hostility through moments of kindness and moments of bitterness to coexist without eliminating the others. Yes, the film is slow in places, have some pacing issues and even some problems in some characters story developments, but being a Ken Loach fan and having great love for his style of film making all those problems didn't create any sort of distraction for me. A thoughtful work that believes in compassion and humanity still works for me.

🔸ഈ അവസ്ഥ ബാധിച്ചവർക്ക് ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത റിയാക്ഷൻ ആണ്. ആസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഉള്ള ഈ റിയാക്ഷൻ അവർക്ക് നിയന്ത്രിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ മറ്റുള്ളവരിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന റിയാക്ഷൻസ് വളരെ മോശവും ആയിരിക്കും, ഇത് ഒക്കെ കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ആവണം ഒസിഡി, ഡിപ്രഷൻ എന്നിവ ഒക്കെ ഈ അവസ്ഥയുടെ തുടർ ഫലങ്ങളും ആണ്. ഐ സ്വെർ എന്ന ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ചിത്രം ഈ ഒരു അവസ്ഥയിലൂടെ കടന്ന് പോവുന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ ജീവിത കഥയാണ്. ഈ സിനിമ യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ അരങ്ങേറിയ സംഭവങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു നേർ പതിപ്പാണ്, ഒരു ബയോഗ്രാഫിക്കൽ സിനിമ ആണ്, പോയ വർഷത്തെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച സിനിമകളിൽ ഒന്നുമാണ്.

🔸മറ്റേതൊരു കുട്ടിയേയും പോലെ വളർന്നു വന്ന ജോൺ ഡേവിഡ്സനിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ വലിയ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ കണ്ട് തുടങ്ങുന്നത് എൺപതുകളുടെ തുടക്കത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പന്ത്രണ്ടാം വയസിലാണ്. ടൂറാറ്റ് സിന്ധ്രോം ബാധിച്ച അവന്റെ തുടർന്നുള്ള ജീവിതം ദുസ്സഹം ആയിരുന്നു. അപരിചിതരിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അവഗണനയെക്കാൾ അവനെ വേദനിപ്പിച്ചത് വീട്ടിൽ നിന്നുള്ള കുത്തുവാക്കുകൾ ആയിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് അങ്ങോട്ടുള്ള അവന്റെ പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകൾ നീണ്ട് നിന്ന് ഐതിഹാസിക ജീവിതം ആണ് ഈ സിനിമയുടെ പ്രധാന വിഷയം. തീർച്ചയായും കണ്ടിരിക്കേണ്ട ഒരു ഗംഭീര സിനിമയാണ് ഐ സ്വെർ.

🔸ഫീൽ ഗുഡ് സിനിമകളോട് താല്പര്യം ഉള്ളവർക്കും, നമ്മുടെ സത്യൻ അന്തിക്കാട് സ്റ്റൈൽ സിനിമകളോട് താല്പര്യം ഉള്ളവർക്കും എല്ലാം തീർച്ചയായും കണ്ട് നോക്കാവുന്ന ഒരു ചെറിയ, നല്ല സിനിമയാണ് വുഡ് ജോബ്. പറയത്തക്ക ട്വിസ്റ്റോ കാര്യങ്ങളോ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാത്ത, എന്നാൽ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു വേളയിൽ നമ്മളെ കഥയിൽ ഇൻവെസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യിക്കുന്ന ലളിതമായ ഒരു ചിത്രം. ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ സംവിധായകന്റെ തന്നെ മറ്റൊരു സംരംഭമായ സ്വിങ് ഗേൾസ് ഒക്കെ മുന്നേ കണ്ട് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടതിനാൽ തന്നെ ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലും വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു, അത് ഏറെക്കുറെ കീപ്പ് ചെയ്‌തിട്ടുമുണ്ട്.

🔸കഥയിലേക്ക് വരിക ആണെങ്കിൽ ജപ്പാനിലെ യോകോഹോമയിൽ താമസമാക്കിയ ഹിറോഷി എന്ന യുവാവ് ആണ് നമ്മുടെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രം. ജീവിതത്തിൽ യാതൊരു വിധ സീരിയസ്നസും ഇല്ലാതെ, ഉത്തരവാദിത്തങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും ഏറ്റെടുക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ച് പോന്ന ഒരാളാണ് ഹിറോഷി. കോളേജ് അഡ്മിഷൻ കിട്ടാതെ ഇനിയെന്ത് എന്ന് ആലോചിച്ച് നിന്ന ഹിറോഷിയുടെ മുന്നിലേക്ക് ഒരു വേറിട്ട അവസരം വരികയാണ്, വേറൊന്നുമല്ല ഒരു വന സംരക്ഷണ പരിശീലന പരിപാടി. വേറെ കാര്യമായിട്ട് പരിപാടികൾ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാത്ത അവൻ ആണെങ്കിൽ ഇതെങ്കിൽ ഇത് എന്ന സ്കീമിൽ അതിനായി ഇറങ്ങി തിരിക്കുകയുമാണ്.

🔸ഈ ഒരു പരിശീലന പരിപാടി ഹിറോഷിയുടെ ജീവിതത്തെയും കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകളെയും ഒക്കെ എങ്ങിനെ മാറ്റി മറിക്കുന്നു എന്നതാണ് ഈ സിനിമയുടെ പ്ലോട്ട് പോയിന്റ്. വളരെ ഊഷ്‌മളമായ, സിംപിൾ ആയ ഒരു കഥയാണ് ഈ സിനിമയുടേത്, അത് തന്നെയാണ് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സ്‌ട്രെങ്തും. നല്ല കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളും, കഥാ സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങളും തുടങ്ങി കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വേളയിൽ നമ്മൾക്ക് മികച്ചൊരു അനുഭവം സമ്മാനിക്കാൻ ഈ സിനിമയ്ക്ക് സാധിക്കും. ചില്ലറ പേസിങ് പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ഒഴിവാക്കിയാൽ വേറെ മോശം പറയാൻ ഒന്നും തന്നെ ഇല്ല, അപ്പോൾ കണ്ട് നോക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.

🔸ശിവാജി ഗണേശൻ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ഗുണശേഖരൻ എന്ന കതപാത്രത്തെയും, അയാളുടെ മൂന്ന് സഹോദരി സഹോദരന്മാരെയും ചുറ്റി പറ്റിയാണ് ഈ സിനിമ പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നത്. രണ്ടാം ലോക മഹായുദ്ധ കാലത്ത് മലയയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന മൂന്ന് സഹോദരന്മാർക്കും തമിഴ് നാട്ടിലുള്ള സഹോദരിയായ കല്യാണിക്കും യുദ്ധവും, അതിനെ തുടർന്ന് അരങ്ങേറുന്ന സംഭവങ്ങളും മറ്റും കാരണം ജീവിതത്തിൽ നേരിടേണ്ടി വരുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും, അതിന് ശേഷം ഉള്ള വേർപിരിയലുകളും ഒക്കെയായി അത്യാവശ്യം ഇമോഷണൽ ആയി പോവുന്ന ചിത്രം അവസാനം ഗംഭീര പ്രകടനങ്ങൾ കാരണം മികച്ചതായി അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട കോർട്ട് റൂം സീനോട് കൂടി അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

🔸ചില സിനിമകൾക്ക് നമ്മൾ വാക്കുകളാൽ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത ഒരു മനോഹാരിത ഉണ്ടാവും, അത് ചിലപ്പോൾ കഥയോ, സൗണ്ട് ട്രാക്കോ, പ്രകടനങ്ങളോ എന്ത് തന്നെയോ ആവാം. നമ്മൾ കാഴ്ചക്കാരിൽ വല്ലാത്തൊരു ഇമ്പാക്റ്റ് ഉണ്ടാക്കി അങ്ങനെ അങ്ങ് പോവും, അതിൽ എന്താണ് അതിനും മാത്രം സ്പെഷ്യൽ എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചാൽ പറഞ്ഞ് കൊടുക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞേക്കില്ല പക്ഷെ ആ സിനിമയെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഓർമകളോ, ചിന്തയോ പോലും നമ്മളിൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ ചിരി കൊണ്ട് വരും. അത്തരത്തിൽ മനോഹരമായ ഒരു ഓർമ്മ ആണ് ഹാരു എന്ന ചിത്രം, ആദ്യം കണ്ടിട്ട് വർഷങ്ങൾ കുറച്ച് ആയി എങ്കിലും ഇന്ന് ഈ തുടർ കാഴ്ചയിലും ആ ഒരു മനോഹാരിത അതേ പടി നില നിൽക്കുന്നു, ഇനി ഒരു കാലത്ത് കാണുമ്പോഴും അത് ഉണ്ടാവും എന്നത് വിശ്വാസവും ആണ്.

🔸ഇന്റർനെറ്റിന്റെ ആരംഭ കാലം ആണ് നമ്മുടെ കഥാ പശ്ചാത്തലം, ആ കാലത്തെ സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ പ്ലാറ്റ് ഫോമുകളിൽ ഒന്നിൽ നിന്നുമാണ് നമ്മുടെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ പരസ്പരം പരിചയപ്പെടുന്നത്. പരിചയപ്പെടൽ എന്ന വാക്ക് തന്നെ തെറ്റാണ്, ഇരുവർക്കും മറ്റേ ആളെ കുറിച്ച് യാതൊരു അറിവും ഇല്ല. അവരുടെ പേരോ, നാടോ, വയസ്സൊ, എന്തിന് അധികം ആണാണോ പെണ്ണാണോ എന്ന് പോലും അറിയില്ല. എന്നാൽ പരസ്പരം ഉള്ള ഇടപഴകലുകൾ ഇരുവരെയും തമ്മിൽ അടുപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഈ രണ്ട് പേരും ആരൊക്കെയാണ് എന്ന് കാഴ്ചക്കാരന് അറിയാം എങ്കിലും ഒരു തരം സസ്പെൻസ് കഥയിൽ ആദ്യാവസാനം നിലനിർത്തി പോവാൻ സംവിധായകന് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്നത് എടുത്ത് പറയണം.

🔸ഈ ഒരു പോയിന്റിൽ നിന്ന് കഥ പറഞ്ഞ് തുടങ്ങുന്ന ചിത്രം നമ്മൾ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാത്ത പല പല പ്ലോട്ട് പോയിന്റുകളിൽ കൂടി ചെന്ന് അവസാനം വളരെ മനോഹരമായ ഓർമയിൽ തങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്ന ഒരു ക്ലൈമാക്സോഡ് കൂടി അവസാനിക്കുകയാണ്. സിനിമയുടെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ശക്തികളിൽ ഒന്ന് അതിന്റെ സൗണ്ട് ട്രാക്ക് ആണ്, പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും അവസാനത്തിന് തൊട്ട് മുന്നേയുള്ള ട്രെയിൻ സീൻ ഒക്കെ റിപ്പീറ്റഡ് അടിച്ച് കാണാൻ കാരണം ആ ഭാഗത്തെ കിടിലൻ സൗണ്ട് ട്രാക്ക് ആണ്. പ്രകടനം ആയാലും, അവതരണം ആയാലും, കഥ ആയാലും എല്ലാം ടോപ് നോച് ആയിരുന്നു ഈ സിനിമ. പേഴ്സണലി വലിയ താല്പര്യം ഇല്ലാത്ത ജോണർ ആണെങ്കിലും ഇഷ്ട ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായി ഈ സിനിമയും കാണും.

🔸ഷിന്യ സുഖാമോട്ടോയുടെ ആന്റി വാർ ട്രിലജിയിലെ മൂന്നാമത്തെയും അവസാനത്തെയും ചിത്രമാണ് ഷാഡോ ഓഫ് ഫയർ. കഥയുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലമായി ഷിന്യ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നത് രണ്ടാം ലോക മഹായുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ അവസാന കാലത്തെ ജപ്പാൻ തന്നെയാണ്, അതായത് സാമ്പത്തികമായും, രാഷ്ട്രീയപരമായും എല്ലാം തകർന്ന് തരിപ്പണം ആയി മാറിയ, ആറ്റം ബോംബ് പൊട്ടി ശവപ്പറമ്പ് ആയി മാറിയ ജപ്പാൻ തന്നെ. ഈ ഒരു പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ മൂന്നോളം സാധാരണക്കാരെ ഫോകസ് ചെയ്ത് അത്യാവശ്യം ഡിപ്രസിങ് ആയ ഒരു സ്റ്റോറി പറയുക എന്നത് ആയിരുന്നു സംവിധായകന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശം എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. കം ആൻഡ് സീ പോലുള്ള സിനിമകളുമായി ചില സാമ്യതകൾ ഉണ്ട് എങ്കിലും നിലവാരത്തിൽ അന്തരം ഒരുപാട് ഉണ്ട്.

🔸ആദ്യമേ പറഞ്ഞത് പോലെ തന്നെ മൂന്ന് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഫോകസ് ചെയ്ത് കൊണ്ടാണ് കഥ പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നത്. ആദ്യമേ തന്നെ ഒരു യുവതി കഥാപാത്രം, പ്രത്യക്ഷത്തിൽ ഒരു തെരുവ് കച്ചവടക്കാരി ആയാണ് നമ്മൾ അവരെ പരിചയപ്പെടുന്നത് എങ്കിലും സർവൈവ് ചെയ്യാൻ സ്വന്തം ശരീരം കാഴ്ചവെക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്ന ഗതികേഡിലാണ് അവർ. രണ്ടാമത്തെ കഥാപാത്രം ഒരു കുട്ടിയാണ്, വിശപ്പ് അടക്കാൻ ഭക്ഷണം മോഷ്ടിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്ന ഒരു കഥാപാത്രം. മൂന്നാമത്തെയാൾ നിർബന്ധിത സൈനിക സേവനത്തിന് ഇറങ്ങേണ്ടി വരുന്ന ഒരു അധ്യാപകനും. ഈ മൂന്ന് പേരിൽ നിന്നുമാണ് കഥ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്.

🔸നല്ല ഒരു സിനിമ ആയിരിക്കും എന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷ നമുക്ക് ആദ്യ പകുതിയിൽ ഈ ചിത്രം തരുന്നുണ്ട് എങ്കിലും രണ്ടാം പകുതി കഥയെ വേറെ എവിടേക്കൊക്കെയോ ആണ് കൊണ്ട് പോവുന്നത്. കൃത്യമായ ഒരു പേ ഓഫ് പല പ്ലോട്ട് പോയിന്റ്റുകൾക്കും കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല, കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളിൽ ചിലരെ നമ്മൾ പിന്നീട് ഒരിടത്തും കാണുന്നു പോലുമില്ല, ഈ ഒരു വസ്തുത അത്ര തൃപ്തികരം അല്ലാത്ത ഒരു അനുഭവമാണ് നൽകിയത്. കഥയും, കഥാ പശ്ചാത്തലവും ഒരുപാട് സാദ്ധ്യതകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന, പൊട്ടൻഷ്യൽ ഉള്ള ഒന്നായിരുന്നു എന്നത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ രണ്ടാം പകുതി നിരാശജനകം തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു. സ്ഥിരം ഫോർമാറ്റിൽ ഉള്ള സിനിമകളിൽ നിന്ന് വേറിട്ട അനുഭവം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവർക്ക് കണ്ട് നോക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.

🔸വാങ് ചാവോസുവായിയുടെ ആത്മകഥ അംശമുള്ള ട്രിലോജി സിനിമാ സീരീസിലെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ചിത്രമാണ് ലെവൻ ഫ്‌ളവേഴ്സ്. ചൈനയുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ സാംസ്കാരിക ചരിത്രത്തിലെ നിർണായക കാലഘട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായ കൾച്ചറൽ റെവോലുഷൻ ആണ് ഈ സിനിമയുടെ കഥാ പശ്ചാത്തലം. ഈ ഒരു കാലഘട്ടത്തെ വാങ് ഹാൻ എന്ന പതിനൊന്ന് വയസുകാരന്റെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിലൂടെ, അവന്റെ കഥയ്ക്ക് സാമാന്തരമായി നമുക്ക് പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തി തരികയാണ് സംവിധായകൻ. എന്നാൽ ഇതിൽ തന്നെ സംവിധായകൻ ആ കാലഘട്ടത്തോടും, പശ്ചാത്തലത്തോടും ഒക്കെയുള്ള നൊസ്റ്റാൾജിയ ഒട്ടും മികവ് ചോരാതെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടും ഉണ്ട്.

🔸കഥയിലേക്ക് വരിക ആണെങ്കിൽ വാങ് ഹാൻ ഒരു സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാർത്ഥി ആണ്, ഒരു നാൾ അവൻ സ്കൂളിലെ പ്രധാന പരിപാടികളിൽ ഒന്നിൽ ഭാഗമാവാൻ അവസരം ലഭിക്കുകയാണ്. വിദ്യാർഥികളും, അധ്യാപകന്മാരും ഉൾപ്പെടെ സകലരും ഭാഗമാവുന്ന ആ പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാനുള്ള അവസരം ലഭിച്ചതിൽ അവന് സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഒരു ആശങ്ക ബാക്കിയുണ്ട്. അത് വേറൊന്നും അല്ല, അവന് ധരിക്കാൻ നല്ലൊരു ഷർട്ട് ഇല്ല. ഉള്ളത് ഒക്കെ ആണെങ്കിൽ മുഷിഞ്ഞതും കീറിയത് ഒക്കെ ആണ് താനും. ഒടുവിൽ അവന്റെ അമ്മ വളരെ കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട്, തന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം എല്ലാം സ്വരൂക്കൂട്ടി വെച്ച് അവന് ഒരു ഷർട്ട് തൈപ്പിച്ച് കൊടുക്കുകയാണ്.

🔸പിന്നീട് ഈ ഷർട്ടിനും വാങ് ഹാനിന്നും ഒക്കെ എന്ത് സംഭവിക്കുന്നു എന്നതാണ് ഈ സിനിമയുടെ കഥ. ലളിതമായ പ്ലോട്ട് ആണെങ്കിലും ഒട്ടും ബോർ അടിപ്പിക്കാതെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്നത് എടുത്ത് പറയേണ്ടി ഇരിക്കുന്നു. ആ കാലഘട്ടത്തോട് നൊസ്റ്റാൾജിയ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ കൂടിയും സാമൂഹിക വിമർശനവും സംവിധായകൻ കൃത്യമായി നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. പേസിങ് അല്പം സ്ലോ ആണ് എന്നത് ഒരു പോരായ്മയായി എങ്കിലും തൃപ്തികരമായ രീതിയിൽ സിനിമ അവസാനിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ചുരുക്കി പറഞ്ഞാൽ വലിയ സംഭവം ഒന്നും അല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ചെറിയ, ലളിതമായ സിനിമ ആണ് ലെവൻ ഫ്‌ളവേഴ്സ്.
